The Sanmarga Trust is a registered charitable trust, operational since 2020.

It is a family run trust which was formed by the trustees under a common goal and vision to help improve and uplift the lives of vulnerable families. The wide experience of the trustees in community development and empowerment activities in Sri Lanka and other parts of the world underpins the Sanmarga Trust and its programmes.

Supporting the education of poor and vulnerable children is a key pillar of the Sanmarga Trust. Our targeted programmes assist vulnerable families in extreme poverty to educate their children. We also provide education opportunities for children with special needs.

We respond to humanitarian emergencies and crises which have devastating impacts on low income and vulnerable communities by contributing to targeted support programmes for vulnerable families by charities and Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) partners.

The Sanmarga Trust is a family-run trust registered in Sri Lanka, formed with the vision of improving the lives of vulnerable people and communities across Sri Lanka. Our work is focused in four key areas: livelihoods, empowerment, education and humanitarian support.

The Sanmarga Trust is able to work in all areas of the country based on needs and available resources.

The Sanmarga Trust collaborates with like-minded Sri Lankan civil society and NGO partners with capacity and skills to assist execution of programmes.

While many of the Sanmarga Trust programmes are relatively small scale with significant and valuable outcomes, it can partner with other organisations to undertake larger scale programmes.

The Sanmarga Trust is a charitable trust with funding mobilised from its trustees and other local and external donors who are interested in donating and contributing to its programmes.
