Through support and empowerment of existing and future generations, our wish is to contribute towards a better life for themselves and their communities.
Livelihoods
We support poor and vulnerable families to improve livelihoods through targeted programmes which provide interest free loans, training and foster social cohesion.
The following programmes are currently being undertaken:
Livelihoods and Enterprise Programme in the Vavuniya District
Livelihood and Economic Empowerment of Marginalised Communities in Northeastern Sri Lanka
Empowerment
Our empowerment programmes support women to come of their poverty status by improving their economic status and independence, helping to increase family incomes as well as strengthening family and social values
The following programmes are currently being undertaken:
Women’s Empowerment and Livelihood’s Programme in the Badulla District
Education
Supporting the education of poor and vulnerable children is a key pillar of the Sanmarga Trust. Our targeted programmes for vulnerable families in extreme poverty to educate their children and we also provide education opportunities for children with special needs.
